sketch

for my architecture class i have to do three sketches a week. i have just now finised the first one. my other two will not be so complicated and intense as this one. since this one is such a huge deal for me, i thought i'd share it with you. it's the space needle in seattle, wa. i took this picture of it a few years ago when i was able to go with marc and candace before they were married. i hope you like it.

so, i'm in charge of making the invitations and menus and programs whenever the young women have an event. this was my first time making an invitation. i thought it turned out pretty cool. the theme this year is "the treasure within" or something like that, so i put a treasure map on the back, the info on the front, burnt the edges, and it'll be rolled up and tied with string. what do you think?

today i made cinnamon rolls for the first time ever. they turned out very very yummy. especially the frosting. oh man, the frosting is soooo good. i had a hard time not eating it before putting it on the cinnamon rolls. even jon liked them and he usually doesn't like my cooking. well, that's not entirely true. he doesn't like the food i remember making at home. it usually turns out ok, though, cuz he really likes to cook and he's really good at it. i just have to stick to recipies that i've never tried. :)

oh, today we ordered christmas gifts for marc and candace. i really hope they like them. one looks really fun and the other is for the baby, so i really hope that one works. i sooooo can't wait for christmas! i'm glad that i no longer have a job to get in the way of going. my boss was trying to tell me i couldn't go. but then she fired me so i no longer have a problem. :) funny how life turns out sometimes. well i better get going. i'm hungry. love to all. can't wait to see everyone.

jobless

i am no longer working at payless. i got fired. in my job it's required that we take the day before's deposite to the bank. i didn't do it. i was sick and i didn't have a car, so i left it in the store safe. in my opinion my boss was just looking for an excuse to fire me. she isn't my favorite person by far. but now i'm glad i don't have to deal with her anymore. now i get to go back to school. i'll find a job soon to help with everything. jon is actually really mad at payless for allowing this to happen. in all the time that i worked there, which was almost two years, the only time i ever got written up was when my new manager took over. that was about three months ago. everything is going to be fine i'm sure. i'm taking this week to devote myself to finding a job. i just hope it'll be as easy as last time. last time i pretty much just walked in and they hired me. :) that was at payless, with a much cooler boss than they have right now. anyway, i just wanted to let you all know. love ya.

i know

i'm sorry, i know i'm super lame! well instead of saying i'm sorry a whole bunch of times, i'll just to to the part where i tell you what's all been happening. :) well, lets see, where should i start?

well, i have another calling in church. i am now secretary in the young womens. it's totally cool. i love this calling. i've always wanted to be in with the young women. the young women are awsome too. they all do so much more than what i ever did. they make me tired just thinking about it.

i have furniture! i haven't had furniture in a few years now. we've been using lawnchairs and my in-laws fold up table. i can tell you, i much prefer real furniture. our couch is a sectional, a lot like alisha's actually, but it's darker and has pillows for the back instead of whole cushions. i love it. and my table is square and counter hight. it's not as big as mechelles, but it fits in our little space.

we bought plane tickets to go to az for christmas!!! we'll be flying down on the tuesday before and coming back the monday after. i sooooo can't wait. this will be my first christmas that i get to spend with my family since i've been married. i'll get to see my brothers, both of whom i haven't seen in several years. it's going to be awesome! by the way, i have marc and candace for christmas and i have no idea what to get them. if anyone has any ideas, please let me know. thanks. :)

my favorite boss in the whole world is no longer my boss. payless is going through some changes, and one of those is getting rid of all their highest paid managers. so now my manager is the one from the mall, and she isn't exactly my favorite person. i'm trying to be good and do what she tells me too, but it's hard sometimes.

ok, well other than all of this stuff, i'm doing well. jon and i are happy. me especially, cuz of christmas, and my new calling. :) i'm sorry again for being lame, but at least now you know what's been going on. i love you all. i'll write more later. i promise it won't be so long this time.

home at last

well, i just got home today from az. i was able to go az for the last two weeks to help my sister carla. she just had a beautiful baby boy. his name is connor. and the only time he cries (so far) is when he's cold or hungry. i mostly helped take care of the girls and the house. i didn't get to everything i wanted to, but i hope i did enough to help. i tried to keep up with the kitchen and the laundry mostly. with a family of four, plus me, that's not an easy task. i'm not really looking forward to that, but i still want kids. :) well, i'm really tired, so i'll write more later. love to all.

boating

i've decided that i really like boating, even if it does make my shoulders really sore. we got to go a couple days ago. it was really fun. i only got on the tube, but i promised that next time i would try skiing. i'm a little nervous to try it. anyway here are some pictures:
