containment

so, i am now in an art class yet again. so far i am loving it! my first project was about containment. we first had to do an abstract painting/drawing representation of our idea, or concept, of containment. we then had to build something that in some way represents containment. in both my painting and actual project my idea is more of UNcontainment. my idea was that color can't be contained. in my painting, as you can see for every solid black line there is color crossing it. in my physical project, i chose to make it out of metal because it is completely inorganic and unforgiving, the crystal represents the 'container' that is holding the color, but the color is escaping and is slowly taking over the metal flower. i hope you all like it. :)

These are great! Maybe art is your calling in life! I can see it now, I'll be talking to some friends and casually mention my famous artist sister and her doctor husband! ;) Love you!
